This online interactive course aims to provide high level teaching in line with current RCR guidance relating to physics and radiobiology.

  • Electromagnetic radiation and particle interactions with tissue
  • MV and kV equipment and design of facilities
  • Radiation dosimetry, calibration and practical dose measurement
  • Properties of MV radiation beams
  • Treatment planning
  •  Quality assurance in radiotherapy
  •  Radiation protection and legislation
  •  Brachytherapy
  •  Radiobiology 

 

In addition to the lecture series, there will be daily, 1 hour tutorial sessions.

There will be a short multiple choice question physics assessment following the last tutorial on Friday morning
